Our Approach

Our program is dedicated to the use of treatments that have a solid foundation in scientific evidence, referred to as “evidence-based.” It is essential to offer treatments that are well-known to work for your condition, and our program has made significant contributions to the scientific understanding of how medications and TMS work in the brain, and how to best use these treatments.

At the same time, this understanding is evolving rapidly, especially for treatments such as TMS and ketamine. A major goal of our program is to implement these innovations as the evidence builds, and ultimately to contribute to these advances.

“Your relentless search, striving to understand, to eradicate, brings a new hope to what so often seems hopeless. As a patient highly resistant to drugs, this approach offers particular hope. And it offers hope too for my daughter and my daughter’s daughter – for all who live under a shadow of pending depression. I thank you for allowing me to participate in this program, I applaud your efforts and pray for your success.”

Clinical Conditions That We Treat

Depression

Depression is very common and can take many forms. It is essential to have a thorough evaluation in order to reach an accurate diagnosis, as this will determine how to choose the best treatment of the many that are available. Treatment-resistant depression (TRD) is a special form of depression where individuals do not experience adequate relief with conventional treatments. We can offer these individuals considerable expertise in the use of TMS, esketamine, and medication combinations to achieve better outcomes.

Migraines

Migraine is a disorder where individuals suffer from recurring, severe and often debilitating headaches.  TMS can be administered in varied ways to relieve migraine, and interestingly the approach with the most promise at present to reduce headache frequency involves stimulating the brain in an area controlling movement, rather than sensation.

Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety is quite common, and like depression, there are diverse treatments available. We treat individuals with anxiety syndromes such as post-traumatic stress, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
